Have You Lost Your Employer-Sponsored Coverage?
As Rhode Island is experiencing a drastic increase in the number of people who are unemployed, we know that many people will suddenly be without coverage. Rhode Islanders can always sign up for coverage though HealthSource RI if they’ve recently experienced this life change, or other qualifying life changes (marriage, turning 26 and losing access to coverage from parents, moving to RI, etc.) that affect their ability to have health insurance. You must sign up for coverage within 60 days of your life event, such as being laid off.
Buying coverage through HealthSource RI may be more affordable than COBRA for people who are struggling financially, and we encourage anyone who has lost coverage to visit our website and use our plan comparison and savings tool to get a quote. |

Staying Covered with Medicaid
Rhode Island residents who earn less may qualify for low-cost or no-cost coverage through Medicaid. If you are a current HealthSource RI customer who has seen a decrease in income, login to your HealthSource RI account and update your information. If you are not sure what you qualify for, contact us and we can help. |
