POSTPONED. NEW DATE TBD. HR Roundtable: Retaining and Attracting Working Parents
In this HR Round Table we will hear from Britt Riley, Founder of The Coggeshall Club, a lifestyle club offering fully licensed daycare as well as work space and fitness for all member families. She will lead a conversation on how to retain and attract top talent during their transition into and after becoming a family. Many local companies are working hard to hire top local and regional talent, one of the key aspects of this is creating an appeal to workers who are on the cusp of or who have recently entered parenthood. When you create an environment which supports the whole family, you are creating a business which will flourish as a result. Britt will share best practices from her past employer, Patagonia. She will also present key facts and figures supporting this new wave of employee benefit requirements. By participating in this session, you will walk away with actionable and compelling insights to help your business create a positive culture for employees you would like to attract and employees you work hard to retain.
An entrepreneur from birth, Britt Riley has always looked forward to life as a working mother, building dreams with her kids. As a mother, a wife, a fractional CMO and the chair of Founders Network's women's leadership committees (a group of over 700 tech founders), she realized it was time to disrupt an industry she had become acutely involved in: Childcare. Her passion for quality of life as well as a need to integrate work and life in a way which is conducive to today's families took over her thoughts for years as she developed her solution, a network of clubs which feature high quality fully licensed daycare as well as inspiring workspaces and fitness for all member families. After beginning her career in the Marketing department of Patagonia, Britt became the embodiment of the entrepreneurial millennial, working on marketing strategy for a number of luxury, travel and tech brands she developed a sense of standards which helped to inform this mass need for a pendulum shift in the way we engage with our "work" on a daily basis in order to thrive. The Haven Collection and its pilot club have now been featured in Working Mother Magazine, Providence Business News, RI Monthly, The Bay, The Newport Daily News and the Providence Journal, featured on The Rhode Show and recently profiled by Authority Magazine as a Female founded business Disrupting the Childcare industry.POSTPONED.
