    JOB TITLE: Accounting and Finance Assistant

    DEPARTMENT: Administration

    REPORTS TO: Director of Finance and Administration

    CLASSIFICATION Part-Time, Non-Exempt

    SUPERVISES: There are no direct reports for this position

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Accounting and Finance Assistant is responsible for recording and maintaining all business financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales receipts, invoices and payments. They record financial data into the general ledger, reconcile accounts, process sales tax filings and assist with payroll processing, employee time tracking and benefit administration.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Performs data entry into financial software
    • Reconciles daily receipts
    • Assists in bank and investment account reconciliations
    • Processes accounts payable and receivable
    • Maintains accurate worksheets
    • Organizes and maintains physical files
    • Maintains a balanced general ledger
    • Assists with annual financial audit
    • Monitors cash flow
    • Provides account or event activity reports to managers as requested
    • Demonstrates initiative and works enthusiastically and cooperatively with all
    • Adheres to all Code of Conduct standards.
    • Other duties as requested.

    Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
