    Description

    SAIC is seeking an organized and motivated Configuration Analyst in Middletown, RI. The ideal candidate will have prior configuration management experience in the defense industry. You will play a key role in Technical Data Package (TDP) design control within a PLM System.

    Job Duties
     

    • Configuration Control Implement mechanisms to manage changes to these configuration items throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Configuration Status Accounting Keep track of the status of all configuration items and changes.
    • Configuration Verification and Auditing Ensure that configurations contain all their intended parts and are sound with respect to their specifying documents, including requirements, architectural specifications, and user manuals.
    • Process Management Develop and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and tools.
    • Baseline Establishment Establish baselines that act as a reference point for the development process.
    • Change Management Handle change requests, evaluate the impact of changes, and ensure the orderly execution of changes.
    • Documentation Ensure that all system documentation reflects the latest configuration and is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
    • Tool Selection and Maintenance Select configuration management tools and ensure they are maintained and used effectively across the team or organization.
    • Notify the Government of all planned audits to provide an opportunity to witness each audit.
    • Ensure the configuration identifications are accurate and in conformance to the Configuration Management (CM) processes and the CM Plan.
       
    Qualifications
     
    • Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and three (3) years or more related experience.
    • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software tools.
    • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
    • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software tools.
    • Basic understanding of military structure and terminology.
    • Must be self-motivated, proactive, efficient, professionally motivated, conscientious, loyal, punctual, and team player and work well independently with only general direction.
