Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce announces Conversations with Women of Distinction series

The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is launching its new Conversations with Women of Distinction series, featuring a fireside chat with Erin Donovan-Boyle, CEO of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, as well as a woman of distinction from the Greater Newport Region each month.

The series, sponsored by Newport This Week, will take place on the second Thursday of each month at Innovate Newport, featuring a continental breakfast and networking.

The first event on January 11th will feature Cristina Offenberg, Esq. Silva, Thomas, Martland & Offenberg, Ltd. On February 8th, the guest speakers will be Crista Durand, President, Newport Hospital. On April 4th, Gail Alofsin, Newport Restaurant Group, Newport International Boat Show, will be speaking. On May 9th, Nellie Gorbea, Visiting Senior Fellow, Cybersecurity & Democracy, Salve Regina University, will be speaking. On June 13th, Mary T. O’Sullivan, MSOL, Encore Executive Coaching, will be speaking.

“Women have become leaders in all sectors of our community. In this informal atmosphere, the speakers will share their experiences, hurdles and successes along their journey,” said Lynne Tungett, publisher/editor of Newport This Week. “Attending any of the morning talks and networking opportunity will be a boost of confidence as you face your day and future.”
